Located in Madison. The previous capitols were outgrown or burned. This one was built in 1917 for $7.2 million, a large sum at the time. The lavish interiors display the Wisconsin people spent substantially more than other states.

The state shield is made from melted down cannon from the Spanish-American War. The US Navy technically owns it due to the munitions aspect but loans it to the state.
