Like much of Poland, WWII and Soviet history abound. There are also royal palaces, beautiful parks, welcoming people, and good food.
Nav:
The country no longer has a king, but they still have castles…lots of castles.
Nosh:
Pirogies are a must in Poland. I had them boiled but they would’ve better crispy, which was an option. These were at the German themed Bierhalle at the mall.
Browar Warszawski has pork knuckle. If you’ve had it in Bavaria, don’t get it here. They boil it in beer and the skin is soggy.
Nip:
Polish vodka is well regarded in its own right. However, there is good beer to be found here too. Food Hall has a self-pour tap wall with a dozen beers.
