The United States is a big country with micro-cultures across the landscape (the South, New England, Texas, etc). Each has their own history (Conquistadors, Pilgrims, whatever makes Austin weird), food traditions (fried chicken, clam chowder, big toast), and specialty drinks (sweet tea, rum, Lone Star beer).
