Located in Medora, North Dakota, about 30 minutes from the Montana border on I-94. This site is named in honor of the man who visited the area in his youth, President Teddy Roosevelt. The Sioux called it 'Mako Shika' or 'no good land'. It's a rugged terrain but life finds a way. If you hang out long enough, you'll find bison, elk, deer, prairie dogs, and more.
