Fort Davis National Historic Site: A frontier fort built for protection of trade and traffic between points east and west.

Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park: The site is spread across two locations. The attractions include the birthplace, boyhood home, ranch, and final resting place of the former President.

San Antonio Missions National Historical Park: Spanish missions were built along the San Antonio River to spread Catholicism to Native Indians in the 1700s.
