Locates about 45 minutes south of Jacksonville. Oldest European settlement in the Americas. College town.

Nav:

Alligator Farm: This place is all about the American gator. They have a zip line course you can do over the alligator pits if you're feeling spicy. Otherwise, there are very pedestrian paths you can walk. They have a few other tropical, but not native, animals here.

Castillo De San Marcos NHP: The oldest masonry fortification in the continental US. Hit the title link for more info.

Flagler College Campus: The college wasn't formed until 1968 but encompasses building much older. The centerpiece is the Hotel Ponce de Leon, built by Henry Flagler (co-founder of Standard Oil with John D. Rockefeller), which became the oldest building in the college.

St. Augustine Beach: Sunrise to sunset...and after...a great beach to run, bike or walk.

Nosh:

Beachcomber: The ruby red shrimp, caught just off shore, are a MUST! A meaty but tender chew. A slightly sweet but savory flavor with the cajun seasoning.
Pro Tip: Go early...late afternoon / early evening before they get busy. The flavor of the shrimp is amazing. They devein the beauties when they have the time but as the traffic increases, you might have to devein yourself.

Mango Mangos: The coconut shrimp are butterflied. The coconut milk dipping sauce is the perfect compliment...not overly sweet. The club sandwich is stacked high and the fires are crispy.

Nip:

Old Coast Ales: A great local brewery keeping it chill. The tap house isn't large and no food is served. However, you can order from Osprey Tacos next door and bring it in.
