Red rocks, a few energy vortexes, and some cool hiking. Sedona is all about the outdoors. If you like to hike, mountain bike or meditate outdoors, give Sedona a shot. This is a getaway destination for thousands who rent places in the cooler climate of Sedona, especially those from the Tucson and Phoenix areas.

Nav:

Hike: There are several trails to choose from. You can climb visual icons like Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock. While many of the trails are popular (aka. crowded at times), these two are energy vortexes...points where people believe magnetic energy is emitted from the planet that creates a spiritually cleansing place to meditate and center yourself. I've hiked Cathedral Rock and the views are stunning but I also enjoyed Soldiers Pass.

Nosh:

Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill: This is upscale dining.

Coffee Pot Restaurant: A great (sometimes slow) breakfast spot that has 101 omelettes. Can you think of a combo you like that isn't on their menu?! I'm a biscuits and gravy addict...their's are light and fluffy with sausage in the gravy.

Oaxaca Restaurant: Solid Mexican food centrally located on SR-89A.

Nip:

Mooney's Irish Pub: There's nothing Irish about Sedona, except this place. Guinness and Kilkenny on draft...plus a fine selection of Irish whisky.
