Santa Fe

The capital of New Mexico, like many other state capitals, is not a bustling metropolis. The small size, adobe architecture, and rich history make this an easily approachable city.

Nav:

City Walk: Essential to any Spanish town is the plaza. Essential to the plaza are the church and government buildings. Check out the San Felipe de Neri Church from 1793 and the Palacio Real (the seat of government built in 1610) making it the oldest public building in the country. The Santa Fe Trail started here by horseback…the train station now strikes a fine balance of old (adobe station) and new (modern trains).
In addition to these sites, make sure you visit the unique New Mexico State Capitol.

Nosh:

The Shed: A very popular place for New Mexican food. New Mexican cuisine blends Indigenous, Mexican, and Spanish culinary traditions together. The Shed has been cooking up northern New Mexican favorites since the 1950s. They are renowned for their enchiladas.

Nip:

Nuckolls Brewing Co: Located along the train tracks in a newer part of town on the north end, this is a different but pleasant experience.
