Frederick Chopin. Nicolas Copernicus. Vodka. Gingerbread. These are just a few of the greats that come from this beautiful country.

Gdansk: A port town famous for the Solidarity Movement. Dock workers opposed harsh Soviet working conditions, at the risk of their own lives.

Krakow: The cultural heart of Poland. It used to be the capital so there’s lots of history here.

Toruń: Home of Nicolas Copernicus. Famous for gingerbread. Teutonic history, cool old buildings, and good food. Go, now.

Warsaw: The city was largely destroyed during WWII. Much of its former charm has been painstakingly restored. They have also memorialized the atrocities committed against the Jews in the infamous Warsaw Ghetto, lest we forget.
