Peru

Capital: Lima

Though the Incan Empire spanned much further, the seat of power was in Peru. Ruins of their civilization are the number one tourist attraction here…and for good reason.

The colorful and warm hospitality of the Quechuan people is something to look for as well.

Cusco: Capital of the Incan Empire and rich with ancient history.

Lima: The modern capital of the nation with ancient history. A good candidate for a layover if you’re heading to Cusco.

Machu Picchu and Augas Calientes: The most popular attraction in Peru. If you don’t see this while here, you didn’t see Peru.

Sacred Valley: Following the Urubamba River (Sacred River), the valley has a lot to see.
