Capital of Western Australia. This is a place many tourists don't get to, as it's on the west coast away from the action in Sydney and more populated parts of the country. Easily accessible from Asia.
Nav:
Fremantle Prison: No trip to Australia would be complete without a visit to a prison on the former penal colony. Fremantle is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located south of Perth, convict labor from those sent to the site was used to build the fortifications of the prison, starting in 1855.
Perth Zoo: I saw a taxidermy Tasmanian Devil in Hobart (Tasmania) but saw a live one here. I also saw a sleepy koala.
Pro Tip: They don't let you touch koalas in Western Australia so if you want the cuddle encounter, do it in Queensland.
City Walk: Stroll the streets. The architecture is varied and people watching can be fun.
Nosh:
Durty Nelly's: The beef and gravy roll was the lunch special of the day.
Patriots Sports Bar: Yes...New England Patriots / American football themed bar. Surprisingly, several people with jerseys turn out to watch the games.
Nip:
Johnny Fox's: Corner bar (literally) with lots of seating inside and out.
