My favorite state capitol so far. So much character. It's a mix of architectural and artistic styles inside and out. A bit of art deco, Greco-Roman, and more.
Lincoln, Nebraska is also home to the only uni-cameral state legislature in the country, meaning there isn't a separate House and Senate. They decided the overhead of two chambers wasn't necessary so they combined the two into a single legislature in 1937. Also, it's a part-time job and you don't get paid a lot so you have to live and work under the rules you pass for everyone else (novel concept, right).
Located in Lincoln, about an hour southwest of Omaha. The current (third) capitol building was completed in 1932.
