America is one beautiful country. Despite being a 'new' nation compared to most others, there is also a lot of history. A great way to see and learn about both is through the National Park Service.
The United States National Park Service (US NPS) operate a growing list of 470+ National Park Sites, including:
National Parks (NP)
National Historical Sites (NHS)
National Monuments (NM)
National Battlefields (NB)
and more (National Seashores, National Recreation Areas, etc...)
The NPS app is a great way to find locations near you, when visitor centers are open, where to get Passport cancelation stamps, and more information on each site.
The parks are divided into regions by the Park Service, but I've organized them by state since that's how more people travel.
