Located about 80 miles south of Seattle, this park's main attraction is the volcano it's named after. Mt. Rainier is still considered to be an active volcano.
Pro Tip: There are a few ways to enter the park and not all of them connect. If you enter through Carbon River, it will not get you to the main attractions of Sunrise and Paradise. Enter through Nisqually from the southwest or White River from the northeast to see most of the park. I missed the main portion of the park but still enjoyed a hike around Eunice Lake.
