Located in Helena. The 41st state joined the Union in 1889. I love the warm woods, tiles, and other materials that are beautiful, warm...and less expensive than marble and granite. The population was 270,000 in 1902, when the capitol was built. By comparison, Pennsylvania was approximately 6.7 million at that time.
