Located in Austin, Texas. Unlike many other Presidential Library sites, the former President is not buried here...look for LBJ National Historical Park for that location. LBJ became President following the assassination of John F. Kennedy and won a successive term. He chose not to run for a second full term. He was raised in the rural area of Johnson City, Texas influenced his Presidency. These formative years drove him to ensure all Americans had access to electricity, education, and equal rights. During his administration, the Vietnam War and Six Day War in Israel were international highlight events.
