Ljubljana (Loo-blee-ana) is a beautiful city, mostly thanks to the designs of architect Jože Plečknik.
Nav:
St. Nicholas Cathedral and Ljubljana Castle are the two biggest attractions. The rest is the city is compact and easily walkable.
Pro Tip: You can walk the castle grounds and interior courtyard for free. Certainly exhibits and tours do have a charge though. Also, there is a funicular of the hike up doesn’t excite you.
Nosh:
There are food trucks that setup in the open air market in the afternoon. I had Thai from Chuty’s that was fresh and tasty.
kemšnita cream cake which originated up near Lake Bled, then spread around the region. Light vanilla cake.
Nip:
Really enjoyed the beer and service at Loo-Blah-Nah. Holidays Pub is known as the oldest pub in the city. They also had Metallica here in 1997 and the BBC broadcast from the back room during the war for independence.
