Located in Jamestown, Virginia. The first permanent British colony in the Americas. The British sent a group over in 1607...so America is a 'new' country but the European and Native roots run a lot deeper than 1776. The project is a joint venture between the National Park Service and a private organization, the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation. Archeology is actively taking place on the site to learn more about the people who lived here, Native or European.

There is a glasshouse on the site. You can buy goods from the artisans who make glass blown goods the old fashioned way there today.
