Located in Springfield, Illinois. This isn't the capitol building where Abraham Lincoln served in the Illinois General Assembly. This building was completed in 1887 and Lincoln was assassinated in 1865. The building he served in still stands a few blocks down the road. The Senate Chambers were closed for remodeling during my visit.
