An icon of the St. Louis skyline for sure. However, National Park?? I think of places like Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Grand Canyon when I think of National Parks. This is more of a National Monument in my mind...but I didn't lobby Congress to make this a National Park.
Either way, it's a fun trip to the top and the exhibits are a good tribute to westward expansion / Manifest Destiny in America.

The old courthouse is part of the park. People would have to come here for permits, etc.
