Galapagos Islands

Created by God, rediscovered by Darwin. Beautiful. Protected. Worth your attention.

Nav:

The island chain (archipelago) is unique because of the endemic (native) species that live here, and nowhere else in the world.
Pro Tip: Some species only live on one island so you should try to visit as many islands as possible to get a more comprehensive picture of the flora and fauna here. Book a cruise/tour group or try to plan self-guided tours as far out as you can, as there are limited ferries / flights between islands.

Isabela Island: This is the largest of the islands and shaped like a seahorse. At Punta Vincente Roca, you have pelicans, tortoise, blue footed boobies, and so much more.

Santiago Island: Blue footed boobies!

Fernandina Island: Marine iguanas swim to eat algae and are most populous on Fernandina.

Rabida Island: Flamingos are the key feature in Rabida, as well as the red sand beaches.

Mosquera Island: Sea lions dominate this island. Sea lions have external ears, where seals don’t. Though illegal to touch, they are close enough you could.
