Historic architecture. Fort Sumter, where the first shot of the Civil War was fired. Fresh seafood.

Nav:

Walking Tour: Greco-Roman architecture, piers, evidence of British colonialism, artifacts from the Civil War.

Nosh:

Hyman's Seafood: Good food but a bit overrated in my book. Everything is fresh and tastes fine but I'm not sure I'd wait more than 30 minutes to get something to eat here. The staff was exceptionally friendly, as you'd expect in the south. Didn't get photos...oops.

Darling Oyster Bar: The quality of the seafood is top notch. I'm a big oyster fan and shrimp are shrimp...but those little neck clams are sweet and I want more!

Charleston Crab House: The steampots are a house specialty. This is the Crab House Crab Pot...Snow crab, Dungeness, shrimp, mussels, sausage, and corn.

Church and Union: It's a beautiful space. The bar / restaurant is located in a converted church. I got caught up in the space and didn't take photos...sorry.

Nip:

The Gin Joint: They do offer a small menu if you're hungry but this place is all about the nip. Gin based cocktails are the house specialty but they do offer other liquors. Check the menu, as cocktails frequently change.
