A coastal town on the southwest edge of the country. Fjord access, goats in the mountain forest, fresh seafood, and tasty beer.

Nav:

Mout Fløyen and the Fløibanen: The funicular train takes you to the top of the mountain, about an eight minute ride from bottom to top. The views are fantastic. Goats were running around. There's a place for a few snacks and a cup of coffee.

Walk the city: The architecture is colorful and the city at night is beautiful. Narrow alleys can lead to unique little shops. Of course, travel safely and probably don't go down dark alleys at night alone in a foreign country.

Take a fjord cruise: I'm not much of a touristy water cruise kind of guy but this was cool. The boat captain maneuvered right up to a waterfall so we could fill cups with crystal clean water.

Nosh:

Olivia Zachariasbryggen: Pizza isn't a Norwegian specialty but it was delicious and a nice change from smoked fish and cheese.

Eat at the fish market: The catch is fresh. From what I saw, it doesn't really matter where you eat. You can find shrimp, whale, mussels, and more.

Nip:

Hansa: The main beer in Bergen. Locally brewed by a German style pilsner. You can find it at pretty much every bar or liquor store.
Harvester: A farmhouse saison from Bergenhus. On tap at Bryggeriet.
Nogne: They have a variety of brews, including a hazy and stout. On tap at Enhjørningen.
