Mountain biking paradise. Lakes with beaches. Lava tubes. Breweries. Blockbuster. This place is all about the outdoors but there are some great places to nosh and nip here indoors (or al fresco) too!

Go for a hike: Literally. There is kayaking down the Deschutes River in town. Mountain biking trails just outside of town. Lava River Cave to the south. Todd Lake to the west.

The last Blockbuster store in the world. You can still rent DVDs here but it's mostly a gift shop.

Water is shallow by kayaks and paddle boards are a go.
There is a small amount of beach so arrive early to get a good spot.

Sunriver Brewing Co: Queso, burgers, and beer...#winning

Deschutes Brewery: Probably the biggest brewery in the area. They ship at least regionally. Try a flight or a pint. The pizza is legit here too.

Nip:

Crux Fermentation Project: The highlight is the beer but they do have a few food stalls / truck on-site in case you feel the urge to nosh.
