The Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix. Like many others, the state government has outgrown the historic building, which is now a museum. A battleship’s silver service set was traditionally provided by the state it was named after. In this case, the state rejected the funding but a private network of donors came up with the funds. The silver sunk with the USS Arizona after it was bombed by the Japanese on December 7th, 1941. Several pieces were recovered during a dive of the site and are now on display in the old capitol building.
